As the leading institution in the international exchange working team of the national coordinating group for reform of China’s engineer system, CAST actively promotes international exchanges in various engineering fields and the international mutual recognition of engineer qualification, making preparations for China to join the Washington Accord, so as to accelerate the reform of the engineer system of China.

At present, CAST has established cooperative relations with relevant organizations of more than 30 countries such as the USA, Germany, Russia, Japan, etc. and carried out many kinds of project cooperation in respect of frontier academic development of disciplines, science popularization, research achievements application, talents training, etc.

Great efforts have been spent to strengthen the relations with overseas Chinese science and technology organizations and attract the overseas scientific and technical personnel to serve our country in various ways.
